Meet the new ORIGINS app: making it easier for ORIGINS families to stay on track

We know we can be demanding. We send emails and SMS’, we send couriers to your home, we ask LOTS of questions about all sorts of things. There are reminders and appointments, and samples to collect. Over your eight-year commitment to ORIGINS, there are lots of things to remember.

The ORIGINS app is here to keep all of our families on track and will make staying committed and compliant with ORIGINS easier.

The Benefits

  • The app will track where your family is in your ORIGINS journey
  • Your and your child/ren’s time points and administrative information will be automatically uploaded, using your personalised ID, and stored in one place.
  • Your family’s personal information will be kept completely secure and private.
  • Explore available times and book your One-, Three-, 5-, and 8-Year Kids Checks. 
  • Receive reminders about when your questionnaires and samples are due
  • Access personalised links to your online ORIGINS questionnaires
  • Information about participant events, as well as ORIGINS news, will be delivered straight to your phone.

How to download the app

The ORIGINS app is available to download from the Apple and Android app stores. 

To protect your family's data, please follow the below steps when downloading the app for the first time:

  1. Click on 'Get Help' 
  2. Select 'Resend Email' 
  3. Enter your email 
  4. A welcome email will be sent to your inbox asking you to activate your account 
  5. Once activated, you will receive a personalised temporary password to sync your family's information 
  6. Once logged into the app, please reset your password as the temporary password expires after 7 days

Troubleshooting

If you're an existing user and need to reset your password, click 'Reset Password'  on the sign in page. 

After entering the email address you used to sign up to the ORIGINS app, you'll receive an email with a confirmation code to reset your password. 

If you're still having trouble logging in, or experience any other issues within the app, please email the ORIGINS team at originsdata@thekids.org.au, and a member of our data team will be in touch shortly.
